About Us

Growler Pets was launched in September 2007 by Linda Dawkins and husband Kelly.  The name was chosen simply because we wanted something unusual, a name that would put a smile on peoples faces and hopefully.. a name people would remember. 

In 2008 along came Harvey and he has since been Head of marketing, modelling and road testing all the toys that come through the door.  He dives straight in the boxes now before we have even had a chance to check the stock in.  Hilarious when it's the stationery order arriving!

Fortunately, other than Harvey who is getting on a bit now, there are no other Growlers here in the office, although, let's just say some may hear the rumblings of a growl on a Monday morning before the kettle goes on. 

Over the years we have had an amazing team, family and friends.  More recently in 2020, Toni joined us and is proving to be a natural in the Pet industry.  How could she not be, her love for animals is second to none.  Her pet portfolio consists of Little Ralph or should we say 'wreck it' Ralph as he is a bit of a chewer.  Toni is Harvey's best friend  (if there is a chicken or ham sandwich in her bag)  

At Growlers we work together as a team and closely with our suppliers.  We give feed back from you guys to our suppliers so as to meet the needs and wants of the UK, searching high and low for quality products at affordable prices.

In our huge doggie toy department we have everything from The Chuckit Ball Launchers and balls, floating dog toys and for the softies amongst us there are our  plush dog toys that include Hugglehounds and Loopie dog toys. Of course not forgetting the fantastic JW dog toy range of boredom breakers to keep your pet amused.

We exhibit yearly at Crufts and various other shows in the UK.  We feel it's important to meet our customers (and their owners) as it's a great way to find out what our customers want in terms of new products.
